How does the treatment work?

What substances are in medical peels?
There are different types of peels that can act on multiple layers of skin, from medium to deep peels. We can choose in what depth we apply the peel depending on your skin desire. There are chemical peels with natural acids, enzyme-based liposomal peels, organic peels and heavy peels based on trichloroacetic acid (TCA).
A chemical peel is a liquid composed of natural acids such as polyhydroxy acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid, mandelic acid and salicylic acid. Exfoliations have the ability to soften dead skin cells, causing them to flake off faster. This stimulates the skin to make new, healthy skin cells.
Who is the peeling suitable for?
Medical peels aim to accelerate skin renewal. It is wise for every skin and skin type to undergo an effective medical peel once. We use peels for: acne, acne scars, coarse pores, dull or sagging skin, fine lines and pigmentation.
What does my skin look like after a heavier exfoliation?
Skin regains its natural glow after a heavier exfoliation! Immediately after treatment, the skin may be warm, feel tighter and look red. Usually the redness disappears within a few hours. The degree of reaction depends on the type of exfoliation and intensity. With peels, flaking and dryness develops after 1 to 3 days. This can last up to 7 days. This is a normal reaction: old skin cells let go to make way for new, healthy skin cells. For optimal results, we recommend you take the peels as a course of treatment.
Why do I get a home product recommendation?
We recommend using home products to support the exfoliation treatment for the desired results. The skin must be cared for to recover properly. When you do not take sufficient care of your skin, the opposite effect can occur. Your skin becomes drier, becomes irritated and other discomforts may arise.
What should I consider after the treatment?
During the treatment period, avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds and protect your skin with at least an SPF50. Also, avoid swimming pools and sauna for at least the first 3 days after treatment. Also, do not scratch or rub your skin; this can interfere with healing.
How does the payment go?
You can pay by pin or exact cash after the treatment. If you have a medical indication, you may submit the invoice to your supplemental health insurance company yourself. If you do not have supplemental insurance, you may be able to claim the cost as other health care expenses on your tax return.
What is the difference between a skin therapist and beautician?
A skin therapist has completed a college degree, is a paramedic, falls under the BIG Act (health care professions), carries a protected title and is listed in the paramedics quality register.
